Business Card Holder for the Rock Hound

This piece was found at a local Antique Shop here in Tucson, Arizona. The rock hound in me couldn't resist and I am sharing because it is such a unique piece. I think it is a one-of-a-kind creation, but not sure, so would love to have feedback if anyone has seen anything like this. The woman and stand is made of stained glass. The solder is all that is holding this together form what I can see. I love the crystals of clear and smoky quartz and the color of the chrysocolla used.  Not for sale.

Vintage Native American Rings

Though I absolutely love all vintage and old pawn Native American jewelry, I can't keep them all. Sniff, Sniff. All these pieces have been added to our Etsy store at https://www.etsy.com/shop/KingsBlueSkyRanch

Sterling silver with Coral, Turquoise, Onyx, mother-of-pearl, and even some Tigers Eye.

Mexican Elderberry

While visiting a local ranch, I got to see the wild Mexican Elderberry in bloom. Smells fantastic and brings about fond memories of my Granny K. The cowboy and I talked about uses of the plant, my memories of Elderflower fritters, jams, pies, and wine were making my mouth water. The cowboy, a Yaqui Indian, tells how his mom would prepare a steam with it to open air passageways when someone had congestion. Not only did I learn this new medicinal use of the plant, but also learned that the ways I was trying to cultivate it where incorrect. With the new knowledge I gained I will be attempting to grow cuttings again, all previous attempts had failed. Hope to share this information soon with pics of progress!
